I revisited the Gruffalo sculpture. One passes the mouse and the Gruffalo when walking up to the castle ruin Windeck in Weinheim.
Here are some more pictures and a short explanation about this sculpture.
Linked to Six Word Saturday.

After I read your remark I thought a bit more information would not go amiss. I made other posts about the sculpture: from last Monday (I’m a fan of…) https://https://picturesimperfectblog.wordpress.com/2019/09/14/with-terrible-claws-and-terrible-teeth/ and last year for Six Word Saturday: https://picturesimperfectblog.wordpress.com/2019/09/14/with-terrible-claws-and-terrible-teeth/ and in February this year for “Color your World”: https://picturesimperfectblog.wordpress.com/2020/02/18/golden-rod-mouse/ I’m sure I’ll go back again.

Poor chap- he looks frightful 🙂 🙂

He is supposed to look frightful. The mouse invents him as a friend so that the other dangerous animals leave it alone.

But who is this creature? With terrible claws
And terrible teeth in his terrible jaws?
He has knobbly knees and turned out toes
And a poisonous wart at the end of this nose.
His eyes are orange. His tongue is black.
He has purple prickles all over his back.
Oh help, oh no. It’s a gruffalo.
