I revisited the Gruffalo sculpture. One passes the mouse and the Gruffalo when walking up to the castle ruin Windeck in Weinheim.

He is supposed to look frightful. The mouse invents him as a friend so that the other dangerous animals leave it alone.

He has knobbly knees and turned out toes
And a poisonous wart at the end of this nose.
His eyes are orange. His tongue is black.
He has purple prickles all over his back.
Oh help, oh no. It’s a gruffalo.
