Let’s see, so far I can say thank you, colour collage, Kippis, and a few bad words in Finnish. I will add “omani”.
No, my Finnish (except for värikollaasit, of course) has definitely been learned from other Finns. And we have a rule amongst our friends: If one Finn drinks, all Finns drink (and their spouses and their friends).
Oh and I just learned “myötähäpeä” – Which I can’t really pronounce but I think it’s great that this concept exists in Finnish as well as in German (Fremdschämen) but that there is no one word to say that in English.
