I Marched Through the Vineyards

”It was one of those March days when the sun shines hot and the wind blows cold,
when it is summer in the light and winter in the shade.”
Charles Dickens

I was walking (not marching, sorry for the pun) through the vineyards a couple of days ago and it was exactly as Dickens described it. The trees are still bare, the vines haven’t started to sprout yet but the forsythia is already in bloom. The sun was out but I was glad I still wore my winter coat against the cold wind.
