
But small animals can be dangerous, too. The oak processionary moth has become prevalent in many areas in Germany were it was previously unknown, now there are often signs found on trees to warn of them. The signs have become permanent, they don’t bother to take them down in winter anymore.

Thats a naughty moth indeed, kills the tree and makes humans very sick!

We don’t (I think) have those here. But we learnt to be very wary of them in France, having been at first charmed by those long lines of caterpillars nose to tail.

I wasn’t aware of them until fairly recently. I think they are on the move!
