I can’t announce yet that I’ve been vaccinated but I have a vaccination appointment! The possibility of getting inoculated against COVID-19 opened this morning for over 60-year-olds in our part of Germany and I’ve been trying since 6am this morning and I have now a definite date in 3 weeks! YEAH!

Thanks. It’s been a bumpy ride with vax dates here.

You got up at 6am? I tried for weeks even in the middle of the night… It’s done now as you know.

I thought the vax dates for under 60 got underway 19 April. I did not get a response after midnight. So I tried early again. Several times: no dates available. Then one offer (on a Sunday – but I don’t mind). I expected AstraZeneca and got Biontec. Now I’m trying for L. since he should not get AstraZeneca acc. to the Impfkommission.

Well done! I’ve just had my second – it feels good to have achieved that particular milestone.

I’m happy. It depends who I’m comparing myself to. Many of my friends in England and the US already had their shots but then again the ones in Africa are not even close.

Waiting must be even worse. At least I thought I was actively doing something.
