Of course, I’m told there is a third option.

We had a spell of rain and in Berlin, I’m told, it was even snowing. We had hail this afternoon, just a bit and not damaging, I think. But tomorrow will be warm sunshine and on Sunday it’s going to be 20°C hotter than yesterday, which is weird. Anyway, it’s our mothers’ day so sunshine will be welcome.

Yes – the (in)famous breakfast in bed and lunch in a restaurant (not this year but you’ll get the idea), cards and homemade presents … Now, Fathers’ Day is a different story. 😄

Father’s Day is not a family day. On Ascension Day, groups of men (not necessarily fathers) go on hikes, pulling wagons filled with crates of beer and get drunk. Apparently, it was started around 150 years ago – by breweries. Go figure.

Pro-Stand: Is it better to stand or sit?
Standing burned 0.15 calories more per minute compared to sitting. If a 143-pound person stood for six hours a day instead of sitting, they would burn an extra 54 calories a day. In addition, the muscle activity from standing is also associated with lower risks for strokes and heart attacks, researchers said.
Pro-Sit: lIs it healthier to stand or sit?
The performance of many fine motor skills also is less good when people stand rather than sit. Ergonomists have long recognized that standing to work is more tiring than sitting to work. Standing requires ~20% more energy than sitting. Standing puts greater strain on the circulatory system and on the legs and feet.
So what’s Right?
I sometimes stand
I sometimes sit
I stand where I piss
I sit when I shit!
