These pictures are from a few years back.
Needless to say that when I stepped out of the house that day I was sure that I wouldn’t go to work that day, I didn’t want to go to work that day.
But the neighbours were out and starting to clear the snow. And I had help.
Within less than an hour, most of us had freed their cars and were on their way. I was off to work, albeit a bit late. As debilitating the snow was, it didn’t disable us completely.



Well it was a beautiful looking obstacle and a collaborative community effort.

😊 I wonder what is worse: Being where we live, were this is the exception (an event, yeah! but it also means you’re woefully unprepared) or living in the alps or somewhere similar where it’s the norm in winter and a drag but you have the tools and the skills to deal with it).

I would not jump off my bed in this snow, so a day off for me from work 🙂

At the school we were working it was always a big joke: The only people deterred by fresh snow to miss school was a Canadian family!
