When I was looking for a photo for Debbie’s challenge today, I knew I wanted to show a photo of the neighbourhood I grew up in. I found this one, the houses of the old part of town where I used to play, the old town wall that bordered our garden, the Schlosspark with the pond behind, and the medieval tower which watched over it all. And then I noticed that I hadn’t taken this photo myself. The photographer was our grandson. Heritage in more ways than one.

What a marvellous place to grow up, and how wonderful it was your grandson who has captured this scene for you

Yep, I’ve done full circle (not intentional). After living away from home and abroad for so many years I’m almost back (half an hour as the old woman walks through the woods).

I love the higgledy piggledy way the houses are placed 🙂

Wow – you are so lucky to be able to grow up in a town surrounded by sooo much history. Love those town walls and the tower!

Isn’t that the truth. We don’t fully appreciate the wonder around us as children.
