Hirschberg was formed in 1975 by combining Großsachsen and Hirschberg, two neighbouring towns on the Bergstraße, just south of Heidelberg. The new municipality needed a new town hall and they built one with lots of windows.
Lots of windows indeed. Just a small correction: North of Heidelberg. That used to be my “stomping ground” and it popped out at me. Thanks for the memories.
