Three wine princesses … toast the crowd from the balcony of the old town hall.
Three elder town’s men survey the towns folk who have come to witness the beginn of the fest.

It’s not a wine festival, really. The wine princesses are there because – amongst other things – we are in a wine growing area. But there is beer as well, several kinds of local colas, locals who want to last the night have a spritzed applejuice (so good in summer!) and one night I ended with a really interesting concoction of South African muti gin and some fruit juice cocktail thingy (I didn’t have to drive, on this weekend they have public transport busses with extended timetables).
