On Friday last week I went to the local botanical garden to catch a few early, early spring flowers. We had had half a centimeter of snow the night before and there was a little bit of white left. These circles, prepared for planting, were the largest pieces of white to be seen.
I did get lucky with the flowers:
I had no idea that I would wake-up to winter wonderland a day later and everything was covered in white. For a few days. Now its almost gone again.

Very forward flowers in Germany. But they got their come-uppance.

The climate in our area is usually a bit warmer than the rest of Germany. 😁

Even though the temperatures have been above zero for most of January we still won’t get flowers till late April and May. Thanks for your trios.

January IS definitely early, too early. But the first flowers, like snow bells etc., usually appear in February here.
