After the last two weeks and mine and other people’s magnolias, here the ones from my garden. They are a deep pink and I enjoy taking close-ups of the blossoms as the tree is still kind of small and doesn’t look impressive yet. I hope it will be in a few decades.
This reminds me of the gardening book we bought when we lived in South Africa. The author recommended planting a yellowwood tree in the middle of the lawn. Yellowwoods grow to be very old and become gynormous with age. They are indeed wonderful trees.
The book said: “In 100 years it will be too big for your garden. But you won’t be around to worry about it.”
