It’s customary in German pubs and inns to record the drinks on a guest’s cardboard coaster. This method is on the way out as more and more waiters and waitresses carry little electronic handhelds to keep tabs on their tables.

😂 Although this is a “Bierdeckel” (they invariably are, the brewery supplies them) I’m the wine spritzer. We were in the Palatium, they serve wine in half liter glasses. I chose spritzer because 1 l of wine is too much for me 🍷😀

Wine in half litre glasses…..?? The mind boggles ( and the head goes squiffy)

These are special glasses. They have grooves so that they don’t slip through your hands when you eat something greasy at the same time. 😁 When there are winefests and you ask for a schorle (a spritzer) they want to treat you nice so they make it one finger of water and the rest wine. It’s lethal!

Lethal indeed! And the glasses! Someone has a great attention to detail.
