In times gone by we bought the Sunday papers because of the thick property section. Not quite as thick but much more entertaining to me was the cartoon supplement. I had my favourites, and one of them was Hägar, the Horrible. I kept a few strips (cut out and pasted in a scrapbook) and they are mostly about Hägar’s softer side. Little did I know then that 40 years down the line my husband and I might resemble the two Vikings more than I suspected.

I love Hagar the Horrible as well. I wasn’t allowed to name one of the dogs Snert 😂 The image of you two made me laugh, in a god way

😄 Snert would be cool for a dog, provided he had longish hair, of couse. My pets mostly came with names. We were tempted to name Henry after one of the All Blacks like Lomu but the grandkids insisted on keeping Henry. It worked out fine, though, it suits him.
