The Upper Rhine Valley stretches from Basel in Switzerland to above Frankfurt. It’s up to 40km wide. In Bingen the valley narrows and becomes a gorge. On both sides of the upper and middle Rhine is wine growing country.

A pseudo Roman relief in one of the wine growing villages. I also thought it was / would be fun (I’ve only ever done something like that with beer in the Czech Republic.)
