We have a similar saying: “All the happiness of the world can be found on the backs of horses.” At least the German one was written by a horse lover (it is a proverb today but it can be traced to a specific author, Friedrich von Bodenstedt.
Beside practice, I feel that this Arabian proverb is referring to the fact that one must stay in motion to achieve success.
