When I woke up this morning and saw the overcast sky and the clouds threatening rain, I decided that I would not venture out today. It looked so miserable. I checked out the LAPChallenge and proceeded to look through my archive, finding suitable photos. I was just trying to put them together, possibly finding a theme, when my husband came into the study and pointed out the blue skies outside.
I got dressed in a jiffy, grabbed my camera and hopped into the car. An hours’ drive later we met up with friends in the Taunus area, north east of Frankfurt, and started tramping through the autumn forest. I started to look up and look down.

Trees and blue skies peeping through, leaves and mushrooms. Then we got into a built up area and the views changed. Looking up: Metal structures like this crane. Looking down: Signs to lead the way and to make sure we’re safe. (The sign says: Be Very F… Careful!)

After crossing the road I rather looked up again.
