His beard dangles.
Fandangle was not known to me. I checked it up in dict.leo.org, my go-to dictionary, and they had no entry. But they did have a discussion about the term. Somebody had asked about the meaning of a song lyric they had heard, “we skip the light fandangle”. This line from Procul Harum‘s Whiter Shade of Pale made my day. I guess they could have quoted Queen as well. For me it means, I now have to competing ear worms.

A glorious beard! My husband keeps his too close for any sort of fandangle–sadly. Oh, Procul Harum AND Queen. I started singing Queen’s song in my head. Great selections.

For 35 years (…) of our marriage my husband had a wonderful beard. And now he shaves because the medication he has to take makes his skin itch. But I am tempted to hide the shaver … 😉
