Grandson dragged us to a reptile zoo. I handled a snake (a python) and a tarantula. The latter one liked me and clung to me (apparently my skin was warmer than that of other people).
They do feel different to what is expected. But I held snakes in South Africa and kind of knew what to expect. Although the python here was much fatter than any snake I ever touched in SA.
Not really. It was very relaxed. The handlers mentioned that they are very much for life-work balance of their animals, i.e. there were 3 pythons and 2 corn snakes taking turns. And they have a day of complete rest for a couple of days before having to deal with the public again.
Great photo!
