The older we get we seem to collect less and less tangible memorabilia. I’ve never been one to buy the usual tourist trinkets that more often than not end up as dust collectors on shelves. I would rather buy wearables. We brought back a hat and a scarf (to be shared by the two of us) from our visit to the Rugby World Cup was in the UK (yes, the cap fits me better than him).

“I dug out an old brown suitcase and threw a few clothes into it, then looked around my bedroom for memorabilia, but stopped when I remembered that the purpose of memorabilia is to trigger memory. I didn’t want to be lugging my memories all over the place. They were too heavy.”
