DEATH speaking on the repetitious nature of nature in Mort:

“It’s beautiful,” said Mort softly. “What is it?”

“Is it like this every night?”
EVERY NIGHT, said Death. NATURE’S LIKE THAT.

“And that’s when I first learned about evil. It is built in to the very nature of the universe. Every world spins in pain.”
The Librarian (who happens to be an orang-utan) on Nature and books and libraries in Men at Arms:

Why not listen to one? The version with Jon Culshaw (narrator), Peter Serafinowicz (DEATH), and Bill Nighy (footnotes – which is a real job where Prachett’s writings are concerned) is unabridged and very enjoyable.

I’m still attached to the ‘wireless’. (That’s how old I am. It’s been ‘the radio’ for decades).

My husband has it on, the music is usually NOT to my taste, so I pop in headphones. My new ones are so comfortable that I’ve been known to walk around with them for hours, not listening to anything and not noticing.
