For the life of me I don’t know why this little, sweet flower has this name. There must be something to it because the translated German name is storksbill.

To be fair the flower, in bud, does look something like the beak of those birds.

Oh! Then I have to look out for budding cranesbill / Storchenschnabel. I probably have seen them but never recognised them. Thanks. — Stupid me, there is a bud right there in my photo! To be fair, I only made the connection when I saw photos with a bud in profile!
