Figuratively and Literally

I couldn’t find out who the sculpture of the bound man represents. It’s obviously a classicist sculpture of possibly a Greek God or hero but he has the misfortune to be place in front of the building where the psychology department of Heidelberg University is housed. Close to him stands a statue of Robert Bunsen, the chemist who is known for inventing the famous burner.

Even closer sits a street cleaner not bound by chains but captivated by what he sees on his mobile phone.
