Burg Wildenstein has some steep stairs with slippery stone steps. If you don’t hold on to the rails you might get to the bottom faster than what you had planned.
The stairs leading up to the bell tower of St Bartholomew Cathedral in Teplice have to be climbed down again.
At least there are some children’s drawing waiting below. Note the security strip to prevent people hitting their heads going down.
The Waldner Turm could be called a folly as it is only about 200 years old and was built purely as a party location for a local nobleman.
And to round this up, a modern day take. To take the subway one has to go below ground.

Mysterious steps, but yes, you must be careful not to fall headfirst to the bottom.

I’ve been up and down some scary stairs, but these might be even scarier…

Hold on tight and promise yourself you will have not another drop of alcohol as long as you have to navigate these stairs!
