When we were helped in our younger one (about 4 at the time) said: “Dad, can you put your hand in the water?” Dad was puzzled but did so and only then asked: “Why?” “We have to know if there are any crocs in the water!” The man helping us in the boat looked thoroughly shocked. Not only did our kids consider crocodiles, they were actually prepared to use dad as bait.
