Don’t expect photos of the amazing Aachen Cathedral – I only got there today. We did spend the weekend in this city and close by, standing on the spot where the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany meet. But the last photo I took with my phone was coming in, shot while sitting in the car.
And the last photo on my camera on Friday night was in a wonderful pub where they have 24 beers on tap and at least 100 different bottled beers. I had a lovely little brew from the UK called “Black Sheep” (I’m not too fond of Belgian beer, I also find them too strong).
No photos on Saturday. For once, I concentrated on running. And drinking. Oh, and looking.

Black Sheep is brewed not 5 miles from here, so it’s very popular. I can’t stand it. Love Aaachen though.

I thought it was just right to finish off the night. A light beer, not like those heavy Belgians. And I had fun to irritate the waiter who had switched to speaking English (since I was with mainly English speakers) when I ordered a “kleines, schwarzes Schaf”. 😀

GNH, aka German Nash Hash. An annual 3 day event. Attendance depends on the size of the youth hostel invaded. This year’s 180 beds was about average, however there quite a few hasher who decided to stay in hotels in the vicinity.

I was happy. I have a new backpack (that’s the 4th or 5th), a new cup, a new bottle opener, a new t-shirt (I don’t count anymore). I’ve eaten the gummi bears (contrary to doctor’s advice). And I HAD TO buy new earrings. And a whistle. 🔛🔛
