Classical columns in Wiesbaden, Hesse, near the Friedrich-Ebert-Allee.

Nature vs. construction – in Baden-Württemberg.

Freestanding vs. supportive – in Hesse and Bavaria.

More classical columns this time in the Palatium. Villa Ludwigshöhe near Edenkoben, built for Ludwig I of Bavaria.

Elke, you have found some great columns and verticals. Brilliant entry 😀

Lovely, Elke! I know the Wiesbaden one 😀.
Where in Hesse did you find those “free standing” columns? Look very interesting..

It’s a place in Bad König im Odenwald. It’s called “Skulpturenpark” and has these strange sculptures (wood, terracotta, metal) in the open. It looks abandoned, like an overgrown lot with a weird collection. I’ve used photos over the years, but only single ones. https://picturesimperfectblog.wordpress.com/wp-admin/post.php?post=44477&action=edit
