The Fun Is in the People

It’s not the most sought after destination. There are rocks and sand and no plants and hardly any animals and yes, a kind of wild beauty but very little else.

But if you sharing this with good people, possibly fun people – you’ve got it made.

Whether it’s one good one or

following a whole lot.

It might not look like fun to anybody else yet —

    1. 😁 When hashing in the desert we used to have a sign-in board so we could go looking for any missing stragglers. I’m proud to say that we never lost anybody not on purpose.

      1. You actually can lose people in the desert permanently. We once dug our car into the sand, off-road (we had lost the road in the dark) and we kept walking for hours until we found a proper road and then could follow the road to find a telephone (no cellphones yet). It was all four of us, the boys were 10 or 11 and it was kind of scary [until we found the telephone lines and we followed them]. But we never met a single soul until we reached the road. It was also fun to find the car again next day.

  1. You have nailed it right, especially with the statement about sharing fun with one or several people. These are great photos. The views are great. Where is that location? Thanks for joining the challenge.

    1. I didn’t run then. But we did have actual runners in the group. To illustrate what people were running: One of them spend his yearly holiday by climbing Chomolungma / Mt. Everest.
