Inside the Labyrinth

We visited the local maize maze this Sunday. In the middle is a tower with this year’s theme (a new theme every year). This central vantage point has several important functions. It helps you to navigate once inside the maze. Climb up and you can look in all directions. Looking down one might locate some of the boards which carry the clues to solve the big puzzle. And don’t forget the fun you get from sliding down the big red tube!

Last not least it’s the perfect place to fulfill Dale’s Cosmic Photo Challenge prompt: Three Shots from One Spot. (Except, it’s four shots, since it’s four major directions)

To the east there are the hills of the Odenwald. To the south there are the fields and hothouses of the flats of the Upper Rhine Valley. To the west are more plastic hothouses, power lines and on clear days one can see the hills of the Palatinate across the river Rhine. To the north there is a town, behind which there are more fields.
