The interplay of light and shadow creates atmosphere. Last week I was at a small game reserve stocked with bisons, fallow deer, and wild boars. I normally would call it the golden hour but it turned out to be more of a silver hour. The light was very unusual.
I left the first shot untouched but in this second shot I enhanced the luminous quality of the stag by darkening the sides and the background.
Freshly fallen snow changes the atmosphere.
