I highly recommend Juluka. The two artists became more known internationally as Savuka. Still beloved today although Johnny Clegg died almost five years ago. Philippe Clay is a weird choice but I was introduced to him by my French summer father. Joy Fleming is from Mannheim (almost home) and she was known for her incredibly forceful voice. She often sang in dialect which seems so much more suited to the Blues than standard German. If you’re interested, all can be heard on youtube. – I checked out your find. Obviously parody. I still shudder at the cover.
