Brings back good memories. We spent our summer holidays in the Bernese Oberland and when the kids were older and we went on our own, we booked in at a hotel instead of in a holiday apartment. We usually went to Adelboden Gstaad or Grindelwald.
Not so much gear – we had to carry it all on our backs! – The next night was more basic: 30 people in one room. Also, more than 800m difference in altitude. (1900 first night, 2700m second night)

Quite swish for hikers. Hope there was enough room to put all of your gear
