I used to be a lot more carefree when taking photos of people. But times change, we do have fairly strict privacy rights in the EU and I understand the reasoning behind them. But it makes it difficult for me. I’m not confident enough to ask people if I can photograph them, also I don’t like people posing for a photo. I still take photos of people, mainly friends, when they don’t know I’m doing it but I feel uncomfortable of posting their faces.
Then I remembered this photo of a dress of mine (yes, this is actually a dress).
And I took my inspiration from it and here are my portraits:

Very clever, as I too share your reservatioms about posting portraits.

The other thing is that I take old pictures (several years old). Especially from children because they have changed during that time. But it’s a cop out.

IO love the print on the dress, and the photos are an apt compliment.

I know what you mean. Sometimes I make changes so that the person isn’t identifiable. I also will wait a few years, like you mentioned doing.

Wonderful I don’t take photos of people much. Animals and birds don’t complain.
I like the dress and people collage
