Water the Thorns to Get the Roses

“This was why love was so dangerous. Love turns the whole world into a garden, so beguiling it was easy to forget that rose petals were as ephemeral as feelings, eventually they would wilt and die, leaving nothing but the thorns.”

Stephanie Garber, Legendary

“We can complain because rose bushes have thorns, or rejoice because thorns have roses.”

Alphonse Karr, A Tour Round My Garden

Words of Wisdom -Y25 #4

    1. Thanks, Sadje. (BTW: How do your pronounce your name? If I think Dutch, it’s be similar to Sad-she. If I think Afrikaansl, it would be pronounced somewhat like Sa-i-kee. I guess it’s neither. )
