Spring in His Step, Spring in the Meadow

That’s not really my last pic on the camera SD card but pretty close. The actual last on the card is of another baby, with his face showing prominently and the parents have asked me not to put their child on the internet. With this little one it’s okay, and his face is not shown anyway. The shot was taken when he toddled off proudly after receiving his 10th run bandana, i.e. he has been on our running group’s run for ten times now (he was a push-over … I mean he was being pushed; some of our runs are stroller friendly).

This is the last photo in April that Anghammarad took. Anghammarad is the name of my phone.

    1. Oh, yes. When I get a new phone (every 5 or 6 years or so) it asks in the set-up for a name. As I keep seeing that name (some random number+letter collection which I cannot remember) everytime my phone connects via bluetooth or similar (for the house wi-fi, for the school whiteboard, for the car …) I want to see a friendly name. I pick the names from the discworld golems. They have, in my mind, a similarity to phones: they need a piece of paper (or, in case of Anghammarad because he is so old, a stone tablet) inserted which tells them there task (like a sim card). They are only doing what they are told but occasionally interpret their tasks in inexplicable ways. And golems originally were made to deliver messages. It fits, doesn’t it?
