I didn’t have a Barbie when I was a little girl. I got a cheaper doll and I was played out within a week or two. So when one of the granddaugthers asked for a Barbie I had three days of catching up before I had to pass the doll on.

I always wanted a Barbie, but they were so expensive, so I never got one. My daughters had heaps, they weren’t so expensive then. I feel for you.

Don’t. As I said; I played with the thing for about 2 weeks. Then I returned to more interesting (for me) toys. 😉 And yes, they were prohibitively expensive then in Germany, too. (for many families),
