I had to explain something kind of complicated to my German class and drew a series of stickmen on the whiteboard in class. Done in under ten minutes, I thought I might preserve them nevertheless. He owes you that apology. Glad to see he came back, maybe with a better attitude. Good luck. As a former teacher of high school, I can understand your story, but glad I didn’t have the distraction of smart phones in my classrooms.

Thanks for reading and understanding. I’ll give him the benefit of the doubt since I’ve since learned that he needed to go the ER the day before (I do not know why). Maybe he was stressed (no excuse but a possible explanation).
