had a song about building a nest:
Build yo' nest - Build yo' nest - Build yo' nest
Build yo' nest on tenderness
The nest is yo' home and launchin' pad
I went through my archive and was considering bees’ and dragon flies’s wings, wings of elves, geese’ wings and ducks’ wings, garden decoration wings and wings painted on murals … in the end I thought I just stick with this nest building, soon-to-be-a-parent stork showing beautiful, strong wings in action.

Thanks, Sadje. Not my poem (I wish!) but lyrics from Earth, Wind and Fire.

A lovely post Elke. You know how jealous I am of people who can watch storks daily, all season long.

There are so many here – returnees. When I was little there were hardly any around here.
