A beautiful sight

what is winter but
a pastry chef gone crazy
frosting all in sight

― Robin Glasser, haiku from Have Fun in the Snow

β€œI wonder if the snow loves the trees and fields, that it kisses them so gently? And then it covers them up snug, you know, with a white quilt; and perhaps it says, “Go to sleep, darlings, till the summer comes again.”
― Lewis Carroll, Alice in Wonderland / Through the Looking Glass

    1. I always compared the 50Β°+ in Saudi with our cold winter weather. You dress appropriately before you go outside and then you enjoy yourself. After a few hours you come back – either to a cool air-conditioned house to cool down with a refreshing drink or to a nice and toasty room to warm up with a hot tea or other beverage.
