which will it blow down?

The pebby beach on Lindisfarne, aka Holy Island, in Northumberland is strewn with cairns. They seem to have no purpose as far as I could make out except to satisfy the architectural gene in tourists.

The pebble designs have also claimed the adjacent dry walls.

The actual dry walls though, are sturdy surviving decades, possibly centuries.

But compared to Lindisfarne Castle they all look rather shaky.

That castle certainly looks sturdy to me! Great photos.

Actually people making those stone stuff annoys me especially when it’s in an environmentally sensitive area.
The castle is a fabulous place to explore if it were possible

I don’t know when they started those things on Holy Island. But it looks stunning because the pebbles are really big and there are so many of them.
