Church spires

Bad Kreuznach – the standard two churches with spires in a small German town but the three windows in the tower qualifies for Thursday Trios.

Hirschberg-Großsachsen – a trio of church towers in one village – the protestant church on the left, the catholic church on the right, and the middle one is a catholic pilgrimage church.

  1. I feel the same way about the two churches but people with deeply held beliefs can find the practices of one church over the other undesirable. There are people who still believe that the masses should still be in Latin and that you still shouldn’t eat meat on Fridays. I happen to know at least one person who is like that.

Thanks for finding trios for this week’s challenge.

    1. The “only fish on Fridays” has kind of become traditional in Germany even for people with no religious bone in their body. For landlocked people (i.e. many Germans) it’s a way to remember to eat fish. Also, fish is so expensive that many only eat it once a week. Most staff canteens offer at least one fish dish on Fridays.
