On the left is the grandson’s wrist watch, clocking his steps and his heart rate and the weather and … the time.
Meanwhile, grandma is dragged kicking and screaming into the digital age. The new watch on the right hasn’t even been properly put in action yet.

I’m coping with a watch that merely tells the time. Works for me.

I have been told that I need to walk more – generally, because of my occasional back pain (having it not being it) and because of other heath concerns (nothing major). And a watch to count my steps seems more fancy than one of those step counters which I keep misplacing.

Oh, I’m not knocking fancy watches. My ‘children’ all seem to use theirs, and constantly. But I’m a simple soul…

I never use a watch, really, it bothers my wrist. My husband gifted me fancy watches and I NEVER wore them (he stopped after his third attempt or so).

Like me with earrings (besides my wedding band my only jewellery) – I feel completely naked without him.
