A theme just down my alley (excuse the pun) but I take photos while on walks almost weekly. It’s when I stop being Elke and become Knicker Elastic, the name I use when I run (or walk) with the Hash House Hasrriers.
It starts off with a the hare explaining the signs used on our paperchase (although in our case it’s more of a flour and/or chalk chase). There are the simple signs that denote the trail, true or false as we’ll found later, these are flower blobs or arrows and a few other signs.

And off we go – wherever the chalk points us. Taking photos on the way is a slap-dash thing because it’s done “on the run” (in my case: on the walk) because you don’t want to lose sight of the others.

Although we don’t know where we will be going, sometimes we can take an educated guess, particularly when they stick a flag in it.

On the way we try to proselytise and recruit new hashers. But often it is only a short encounter like with this charming fellow who ran a few paces with us but then turned back.

We reached the halfway mark, Schloss Alsbach, a castle ruin south of Frankfurt (south of Darmstadt).

We were welcomed inside, although the signs were somewhat contradictionary.

I made more pictures inside the castle but I rather keep that part under wraps to protect the innocent (and the guilty).

That sounds like a fun way to enjoy each other’s company and support some healthy exercise. Thanks for taking us along. I like that cat, but I’m not surprised he bailed out quickly.
