    1. Ned Flanders is the neigbhour of Homer and Marge (from The Simpsons), good-natured and cheery (although this goes back to childhood drama as revealed in one episode) happy-clappy. And Grover is one of the original Sesamestreet characters, has an aversion to contractions but is very loveable.
