Terry Pratchett might not be the most romantic author but his approach suits me just fine.

“I’d like to know if I could compare you to a summer’s day. Because – well, June 12th was quite nice.”
(from Wyrd Sisters, and yes, it really was)

When you go out in the world, you need to remember: “The World is your Mollusc!“
(from Men at Arms: The Play)

Pratchett sometimes dabbles in universal truths: “Evil is treating people like things.”
(from I shall wear midnight) NB: Don’t treat your spouse like a coffee table. Just don’t do it.
And the sentiment I subscribe to most: “I ATE’NT DEAD” (yet)
(from Lord and Ladies)

😁 I try (and fail, apparently) to be discreet about it.

I should have guessed you’d have chosen TP! A nicely quirky post.

Besides anything else – it’s easy to find quotes by him on the net. No need to look through the novels themselves (which I love to do but I usually get hooked and before I know it it’s dark, I’ve missed dinner, and my husband is snoring in bed already).

Haha, well done! I came across his grave somewhere in England (Highgate?), and by the headstone there was a glass jar filled with pencils from his fans. Very special.

In case he comes out and needs to write something down? The should also leave paper.
