I do, too. The hotel was called the “The Golden Pike” but closed down and is now a branch of “Coffee Fellows”. Luckily, they recognised the tradition and left the pike where it was.
Now I’ve fallen down a rabbit hole, trying to find a synonym for pike (the fish: Northern pike, pickerel, jack , Esox lucius) and my! there are so many other pikes. And the ancient spear. It didn’t help that the online dictionary I normally use seems to be down. But I can understand the confusion now.
