I’m afraid I’m one of those people who have taken to e-books. I appreciate the sensual feeling of holding a real book but my shelves have limited capacity and I read at night and e-books’ lights are easier to shield from my (snoring) husband. But I teach German with actual books. And all the language books I have ever worked with are split in at least two sections: lessons in front, more exercises in the back, and the class and I have to flip back and forth constantly. So bookmarks are needed. And I’ve come to appreciate magnetic bookmarks that grip onto a page. They hold in place even with vigorous movements. Here is a selection:
