I’ve been looking through holiday photos in preparation for summer. This was in Valledoria in Sardegna. Despite my basic Italian skills my 13-year-old puerile self kicked in and I got a giggle out of this simple ad for mussles (in German that word sound like puke). They were good in the end, nevertheless.

I tried swordfish once. It was OK, but I’d rather have tuna. Nice capture.

It’s the mussels that were the joke item (for Germans), cozze. 😄 I think I had swordfish once, but a long time ago in South Africa.

I did read that about the mussles. I focused on the swordfish image and writing when I saw the photo and thought about my experience. Mussels, on the other hand… I’m not a fan. >grin<

I like mussels but I’m allergic to shellfish (prawns, crabs, lobster …) and so I’m always a bit apprehensive when I’m in a restaurant.

I wanted to brag with my (little) Italian: Do you never eat mussles?

I love mussels, despite being quite ill with the mussels in Brussels a couple of decades ago
