The air writing might proclaim that the weather is “schön” (nice, beautiful) at 40°C that blue is relentless. For tomorrow 41°C is predicted. See you then or later. Provided I have not melted.
In Saudi we found relief in airconditioned houses. So far I have resisted buying an airconditioner telling myself it’s hot but not for that many days but I’m pretty close to giving in.
I was going to smirk about the temperatures in England when we are having 41°C predicted tomorrow. But they said you were having 36°. I hope for you it’s not true.
It’s not too bad here in t’frozzen north. We briefly hit 31 yesterday and are assured that for us, things are getting better from today. I hope you’re managing to stay reasonably sane. No running today, eh?
Definitely no running. They can bribe me with as much Apfelweinschorle as they want. I’ve just made the decision to visit our son. He lives an hour’s drive away. I can drive there in the new car. Which has a very good air conditioning unit!!!
I added AC when I put solar panels on the roof to help defray the costs running the AC. As I get older, the heat gets to me more. I used to be out fencing, cutting timber and working around the property in summer but now retreat inside.
Welcome to Australian summers 🌞
I have decided to put the spare matress in the garden. I’ll sleep outside. There is usually a breeze on the side of the house. And tonight or latest tomorrow night there will be thunderstorms. — And this afternoon I’m going to visit my son (1 hour drive away, in a COLD COLD car).
I’ve heard there is a hedgehog in the neighbourhood (raiding catfood left outside). Also, a fox has been seen a few weeks ago. Both, I think, will be more scared of me than I of them, and Henry and Johnny will step up and defend me. And for creepy crawley — I had been wondering and was prepared to go inside if necessary. Alas, non such. Which, I think, is not a good sign.
I’ve been spending a lot of the night hours outside during this past week and I haven’t even been bothered by moskitos. Which is more worrying than anything else.
Right. Nice if you like melting. Way too hot. 😓

You are a strong person! A/C spoils you. I couldn’t live without it.

It has never been hot enough for long enough here. But things, they are a-changing.

We’ve heard that Germany is ridiculously hot. 30 is too much for me these days. And that’s what we’ve got But not tomorrow. Thankfully.

That sounds so good. Here you would need a netting cover to stop all manner of creatures disturbing your sleep

I still would prefer to not be on the ground and be able to tuck the netting under.
Here it’s definitely insects in the main.

Too hot indeed! In Finland they have predicted 30 degrees and that’s too hot for me. The older I get the less I enjoy heat.
No A/C here, no car 😦
Stay cool!

I’ve never bothered about heat. But 38+ seems to be my limit of enjoyable now. Also, our area is prone to be muggy.
